Did you know
that the shop/person who installed Windows and/or Office on your computer
should have given you an original disk along with a licence sticker on the
side of your system?
If you did not get this then we would strongly suggest that you ask for
these as they are breaking the law and it is not only them who are liable to
prosecution but also YOU, as you own the illegal system.
Windows and Office cost around £200 to £300 for the software alone so if you
paid only £299 for it then start to ask questions.
If the system falls over as most systems will during their life, will you
have the backup disks to re-install the system to it's original state.?
Do you have the critical updates that you need to keep your system safe?...
If you have an illegal software install then NO you don't.
To check to see if you are
breaking the law check this link at Microsoft's site..

If you now find out that
you are liable for prosecution then we suggest you do the following
1. Report this to Microsoft. If you can prove that you have been duped they
will normally provide you with a legal copy of Windows.
2. Go back to the shop where you bought the system and insist they give you
a licence sticker and genuine copy of Windows XP Home/Professional
3. Report this to Trading Standards that you have been conned, they will
understand and investigate on your behalf.
We can assure you from our 10 years in the business that you will be the
loser in the end, we see it happen day in day out.
